OPENING DAY: WHAT TO KNOW

LOCATION:
Opening Day is held at Pier 40 -- West Side Highway and Houston Street. 

TIME:
Arrive between 10:00-10:30am! The parade of teams starts at 11:00am sharp.

WHAT TO WEAR:
Players should come dressed in their uniforms.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
Prior to the parade, teams gather around the perimeter of the field. Your manager will tell you your team location prior to opening day, but if you forget ... don't worry!  GVLL volunteers will be greeting you at the pier and can help you find your way around! Once all teams are in place, our parade begins. A drum line leads us onto the field and each team marches behind their team banner.  

THEN WHAT?
Opening Day is so much fun!  There will be a Marching Band!  Photos!  Goodie bags!  Door prizes!  Mascots from both the Brooklyn Cyclones and Staten Island Ferryhawks!  A Banner Contest!  Merchandise!

Opening Day concludes at 1pm.  We are so excited to welcome everyone back to another great season of baseball and softball!
