Volunteer with GVLL

Greenwich Village Little League is a 100% volunteer-run organization.  Each year, nearly 1,000 kids play baseball and softball with GVLL, making us one of the largest little leagues in the country. In addition to needing enthusiastic on-field volunteers to coach and manage teams, we also need many folks to get involved in other ways to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. If you are interested in really getting involved, you can inquire about becoming a board member.

Seasonal volunteers:
If your player enjoys baseball or softball and plans to keep playing for a few years, please register as a volunteer when you register your player for a season. There are 3 possible roles you can select: Manager, Coach, Other Volunteer.

Year round volunteers:
If you are interested in being involved in GVLL year round, please reach out to [email protected] to ask about becoming a board member. Current board members are listed here

Managers/coaches are required to attend coaching clinics and to ensure the safety of our players. They also attend Rules Meetings to cover the relevant rules for each division. Each team must designate a Safety Officer who must take a safety training course before the start of the season. Each team must have one manager/coach who is certified in CPR and AED use.

All GVLL volunteers must submit to a background check.
